पूर्व रेलवे के आसनसोल मंडल और मालदा मंडल ने आज (24.09.2024) आसनसोल में संयुक्त रूप से एक उच्च स्तरीय मंडल समिति की बैठक आयोजित की, जिसकी अध्यक्षता पूर्व रेलवे के महाप्रबंधक श्री मिलिंद देउस्कर ने की। उक्त बैठक में आसनसोल और मालदा मंडलों के माननीय सांसदों (सांसदों) के साथ-साथ दोनों मंडलों के प्रमुख विभागाध्यक्षों और मंडल रेल प्रबंधकों (डीआरएम) ने भाग लिया।
उक्त बैठक में मुख्य चर्चा का विषय विकास पहलों और आसनसोल तथा मालदा मंडलों को प्रभावित करने वाले मुद्दों पर केंद्रित रही। उक्त बैठक में उपस्थित प्रमुख सांसदों में श्री शत्रुघ्न प्रसाद सिन्हा, श्री कीर्ति आजाद झा, श्री गिरिधारी यादव, डॉ. सरफराज अहमद, श्री खगेन मुर्मू, श्री अजय कुमार मंडल, श्री नलिन सोरेन और श्री दूलु महतो के साथ-साथ अन्य सांसदों और मंत्रियों के प्रतिनिधिगण भी शामिल थे। श्री शत्रुघ्न प्रसाद सिन्हा को बैठक का अध्यक्ष चुना गया।
उक्त बैठक के दौरान, आसनसोल और मालदा के मंडल रेल प्रबंधक ने पिछले दो वर्षों में महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धियों पर प्रकाश डाला, जिसमें अमृत भारत स्टेशन योजना की प्रगति, लिफ्ट और एस्केलेटर की स्थापना, एक स्टेशन एक उत्पाद (ओएसओपी) स्टॉल खोलना, नए और विस्तारित फुट ओवर ब्रिज (एफओबी) का निर्माण, और लोकल और एक्सप्रेस ट्रेनों के लिए अतिरिक्त ठहराव (स्टॉपेज) और सेवाएं शुरू करना शामिल हैं। उन्होंने वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस ट्रेनों की शुरुआत और वीआईपी लाउंज के निर्माण पर भी चर्चा की।
माननीय सांसदों ने माननीय रेल मंत्री श्री अश्विनी वैष्णव के नेतृत्व में विकास की सराहना की। श्री शत्रुघ्न प्रसाद सिन्हा ने वंदे भारत सेवाओं के और विस्तार की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया तथा अन्य सुझावों के साथ-साथ गया-हावड़ा वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस को वाराणसी तक विस्तारित करने का प्रस्ताव रखा। श्री गिरिधारी यादव और डॉ. सरफराज अहमद सहित अन्य सांसदों ने बेहतर सेवाओं और सुविधाओं के लिए अतिरिक्त प्रस्ताव रखे।
पूर्व रेलवे के महाप्रबंधक श्री मिलिंद देउस्कर ने आश्वासन दिया कि सभी सुझावों का व्यवहार्यता के लिए विश्लेषण किया जाएगा और सक्षम अधिकारियों से अनुमोदन के आधार पर उन्हें लागू किया जाएगा।
रेलवे अपने नेटवर्क में बुनियादी ढांचे और यात्री सुविधाओं को बढ़ाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।

*DIVISIONAL COMMITTEE MEETING WITH HON’BLE MPs JOINTLY ORGANIZED BY ASANSOL & MALDA DIVISION AT ASANSOL*

Asansol Division & Malda Division of Eastern Railway jointly organized a high-level Divisional Committee Meeting today (24.09.2024) in Asansol, chaired by Shri Milind Deouskar, General Manager, Eastern Railway. The meeting was attended by Hon’ble Members of Parliament (MPs) from Asansol and Malda Divisions, along with Principal Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of both divisions.
Key discussions revolved around development initiatives and issues affecting Asansol and Malda Divisions. Notable MPs present included Shri Shatrughan Prasad Sinha, Shri Kirti Azad Jha, Shri Giridhari Yadav, Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmad, Shri Khagen Murmu, Shri Ajay Kumar Mandal, Shri Nalin Soren, and Shri Dulu Mahato, along with representatives of other MPs and Ministers. Shri Shatrughan Prasad Sinha was elected as the President of the meeting.
During the meeting, DRMs of Asansol and Malda highlighted significant achievements over the last two years, including the progress of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, installation of lifts and escalators, opening of One Station One Product (OSOP) stalls, construction of new and extended Foot Over Bridges (FOBs), and the introduction of additional stoppages and services for local and express trains. They also discussed the introduction of Vande Bharat Express trains and the construction of VIP lounges.
Hon’ble MPs appreciated the development under the leadership of Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Minister of Railways. Shri Shatrughan Prasad Sinha emphasized the need for further expansion of Vande Bharat services and proposed extending the Gaya-Howrah Vande Bharat Express to Varanasi, among other suggestions. Other MPs, including Shri Giridhari Yadav and Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmad, made additional proposals for improved services and facilities.
Shri Milind Deouskar, General Manager, Eastern Railway assured that all suggestions would be analyzed for feasibility and implemented based on approval from competent authorities.
Railway remains committed to enhancing infrastructure and passenger amenities across its network.
