पूर्व रेलवे के आसनसोल मंडल ने रेलवे सुरक्षा बढ़ाने और यात्री कल्याण को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से 30 अगस्त 2025 को शाम 17:00 बजे से शाम 17:45 बजे तक रानीगंज स्टेशन से लगभग 1 किमी दूर रेलवे ट्रैक के पास स्थित तिवारी पाड़ा फुटबॉल मैदान में एक यात्री जागरूकता कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया। यह पहल रेलवे सुरक्षा बल पोस्ट, रानीगंज के अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों द्वारा स्थानीय समुदाय को प्रमुख रेलवे सुरक्षा उपायों के बारे में शिक्षित करने पर केंद्रित थी।
यह कार्यक्रम स्थानीय निवासियों, खासकर बच्चों और युवाओं में चलती ट्रेनों पर पथराव के खतरों और इसके गंभीर कानूनी परिणामों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए आयोजित किया गया था। उपस्थित लोगों को अनधिकृत स्थानों पर रेलवे ट्रैक पार न करने की भी चेतावनी दी गई और इससे जुड़े गंभीर जोखिमों पर ज़ोर दिया गया। इसके अतिरिक्त, आपातकालीन अलार्म चेन के दुरुपयोग पर भी ध्यान दिया गया और आरपीएफ कर्मियों ने बताया कि बिना किसी वैध कारण के चेन खींचने से ट्रेन सेवाएँ बाधित होती हैं और यह एक दंडनीय अपराध है।
मानव तस्करी विरोधी और नशाखोरी विरोधी जैसे महत्त्वपूर्ण विषयों पर भी चर्चा की गई, जिसमें सभी रेल यात्रियों के लिए एक सुरक्षित वातावरण बनाए रखने में सामुदायिक सतर्कता की महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला गया। स्थानीय समुदाय को रेलवे हेल्पलाइन नंबर 139 के बारे में भी बताया गया, जो आपात स्थिति या किसी भी पूछताछ के लिए यात्रियों की सहायता के लिए चौबीसो (24/7) घंटे उपलब्ध है।
पुरुषों, महिलाओं और बच्चों सहित लगभग 60 व्यक्तियों ने इस कार्यक्रम में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया, जिसे स्थानीय निवासियों से सकारात्मक प्रतिक्रिया मिली। इस पहल ने जागरूकता बढ़ाने, सुरक्षा को बढ़ावा देने और स्थानीय समुदायों के सामूहिक कल्याण के लिए उनके साथ जुड़ने के लिए रेलवे सुरक्षा बल की निरंतर प्रतिबद्धता को पुष्ट किया।

*RPF CONDUCTS AWARENESS PROGRAM AT RANIGANJ TO PROMOTE RAILWAY SAFETY AND PASSENGER WELFARE*
Asansol, 31st August 2025:
Asansol Division of Eastern Railway, in a bid to enhance railway safety and promote passenger welfare, organized a passenger awareness program on 30th August 2025, from 17:00 hrs. to 17:45 hrs., at Tiwari Para Football Ground, located approximately 1 km from Raniganj station, adjacent to the railway track. The initiative was conducted by officers and staff of the Railway Protection Force Post Raniganj, with a focus on educating the local community on key railway safety measures.
The program was designed to raise awareness among local residents, particularly children and youth, about the dangers of stone pelting on running trains and the severe legal consequences it entails. Attendees were also cautioned against crossing railway tracks at unauthorized points, stressing the serious risks involved. Additionally, the misuse of the emergency alarm chain was addressed, with RPF personnel explaining that pulling the chain without a valid reason disrupts train services and is a punishable offense.
Important topics such as Anti-Human Trafficking and Anti-Drugging were also discussed, highlighting the crucial role of community vigilance in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all railway passengers. The local community was further reminded of the Railway Helpline Number 139, which is available 24/7 to assist passengers in case of emergencies or for any inquiries.
Around 60 individuals, including men, women, and children, actively participated in the event, which received a positive response from the local residents. The initiative reinforced the Railway Protection Force’s ongoing commitment to raising awareness, promoting safety and engaging with local communities for their collective welfare.
