Kharagpur’s beloved ‘uncle’ Late Gyan Singh Sohanpal Ji’s unique tribute on the 9th death anniversary, 57 units of blood collected at the blood donation camp!

Special Correspondent, Kharagpur: On the occasion of the 9th death anniversary of the former popular MLA and public leader of Kharagpur Sadar, Late Gyan Singh Sohanpal (Chacha Ji), a huge voluntary blood donation camp was successfully organized today by the initiative of Kharagpur Town Youth Congress. Keeping in mind this great resolve of “Donate Blood-Mahadan”, a huge enthusiasm and crowd of blood donors was observed at “Kharagpur’s Malanch Road” since morning.
Record 57 units of blood collection:

This camp was organized to meet the current blood shortage in blood banks and to stand by the dying patients and children suffering from Thalassemia. The youth and common citizens of Kharagpur participated in this camp spontaneously. A total of 57 units of blood were collected in a very safe manner throughout the program. The blood donors were specially honored on stage with a memento (memorial) for this great contribution to saving lives.
