A grand blood donation drive is currently underway at Griffins International School in Kharagpur!

A huge blood donation festival was held on the school campus in collaboration with the ‘Midnapur District Voluntary Blood Donors Forum’. To dispel various ambiguities and misconceptions regarding blood donation among people who come to the camp
Awareness message being given:
Misconception: Donating blood weakens the body.
The truth is: Donating blood does not weaken the body, but rather, new blood is produced very quickly to fill the deficiency.
Misconception: You cannot donate blood if you have diabetes.
Fact: If diabetes is under control (just through lifestyle and simple medication), then it is definitely possible to donate blood. (Those who take insulin injections cannot donate blood.) 2
Who can donate blood: Any healthy person above the age of 16-17, weighing more than 50 kg, can come and donate blood today.
