*80th Independence Day Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm at Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyapith (Boys) High School*
*Kolkata, 15th August 2026:* The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp and patriotic fervor today at Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyapith (Boys) High School. The school premises were decorated in the colors of the tricolor, and great enthusiasm for the national festival was seen among the students and teachers.
The program commenced with the _hoisting of the national flag by Shakti Pal_. As the tricolor was unfurled, all those present sang the national anthem and displayed their patriotism. This was followed by _all the teachers offering floral tributes to the portrait of Bharat Mata_.
On this occasion, the _students presented patriotic songs_, which filled the entire atmosphere with a spirit of patriotism. Everyone present was deeply moved by the children’s performances.
Addressing the gathering, the _Headmistress of the school, Madhurima Chandra_, spoke to the students about the significance of Independence Day. She said that 15th August reminds us of the sacrifice of those martyrs who laid down their lives for the freedom of the country. She urged the students to take a pledge to serve the nation with discipline.
At the end of the program, all the teachers and students collectively took a pledge to uphold the unity and integrity of the country. The school family expressed gratitude to everyone for the successful organization of the event.
