*World First Aid Day 2026 – First Aid & CPR Training Programme*
On the occasion of World First Aid Day 2026, St. John Ambulance Brigade, Kharagpur Ambulance Division, in association with Kalayani Chanda Memorial Trust, Balarampur, organised a First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Programme at Balarampur H.S. School, Kharagpur Local, on 12th September 2026.
Approximately 100 students and teachers of Balarampur H.S. School participated in the training programme. The participants received practical and hands-on training on various essential emergency-care skills, including:
First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS)
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Hands-on CPR practice
Fracture Management
Wound Management
Bandaging techniques and practical
Lifting and Carrying of Casualties
Safe handling and transportation of injured persons
The programme was conducted with the objective of developing awareness and practical skills among students and teachers so that they can respond confidently and appropriately during emergencies and potentially help save lives.
We sincerely thank the Headmaster and all the teachers of Balarampur H.S. School for inviting us and extending their valuable cooperation in organising the programme.
