Jhargram : A message of cleanliness and environmental conservation resonated at Sevayatan School in Jhargram on Friday, as personnel of the 184th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) carried out a cleanliness drive and planted saplings on the school premises.

The programme was organised under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2026’ campaign and the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative. Teachers and students of the school also took active part in the cleanliness and plantation activities.
The programme, held on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, was led by Commandant of the 184th Battalion, Praveen Kumar Tripathi. He urged the students to make cleanliness a part of their daily routine and keep their surroundings clean. He also spoke about the growing impact of global warming and the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance.
Tripathi said that besides security and anti-Naxal operations, the CRPF is also undertaking initiatives linked to social welfare and community engagement. He appealed to the students to take responsibility for the saplings planted and encourage others to contribute towards environmental protection.
Second-in-Command Santosh Singh Munda, Assistant Commandant Nand Kishore Verma, Medical Officer Dr Shila Ganesh, along with school teachers, students and CRPF personnel, were present at the programme.
