अमृत भारत स्टेशन योजना के अंतर्गत सिउड़ी रेलवे स्टेशन का पुनर्विकास कार्य अपने अंतिम चरण में पहुँच गया है, अधिकांश नियोजित कार्य पहले ही पूरे हो चुके हैं और शेष कार्य तेजी से हो रही हैं। आज 14.11.2025 को आसनसोल मंडल के मंडल रेल प्रबंधक श्रीमती विनीता श्रीवास्तव के नेतृत्व में अधिकारियों की एक टीम ने चल रहे कार्यों की प्रगति का निरीक्षण किया। यह परियोजना आसनसोल मंडल द्वारा रेल मंत्रालय के उद्देश्यों के अनुरूप सिउड़ी स्टेशन को एक आधुनिक, आरामदायक और यात्री-केंद्रित सुविधा में बदलने के उद्देश्य से क्रियान्वित की जा रही है।
उक्त योजना के अंतर्गत बुनियादी ढांचे से संबंधित कार्यों का एक बड़ा हिस्सा पहले ही पूरा हो चुका है। यातायात गति को सुव्यवस्थित किया गया है, सर्कुलेटिंग क्षेत्र का सौंदर्यीकरण किया गया है और स्टेशन के अग्रभाग और ऊंचाई को उन्नत किया गया है। आधुनिक प्रकाश व्यवस्था, जिसमें एक हाई-मास्ट टावर लाइट भी शामिल है, अब कार्यात्मक है, जिससे दृश्यता और सुरक्षा में सुधार हुआ है। एक नवनिर्मित प्रवेश द्वार ने स्टेशन के आकर्षण और सुगमता दोनों को बढ़ाया है।
उन्नयन गतिविधियों के दौरान यात्री सुविधा को प्राथमिकता दी गई है। प्लेटफ़ॉर्म संख्या 2 और 3 के बीच एक नई लिफ्ट स्थापित की गई है और पूरी तरह से चालू कर दी गई है, जिससे वरिष्ठ नागरिकों, दिव्यांगजनों और सामान ले जाने वाले यात्रियों को बहुत लाभ हुआ है। दिव्यांगजनों के अनुकूल तीन पेयजल बूथ भी चालू किए गए हैं, जिससे आवश्यक सुविधाओं तक समावेशी पहुँच सुनिश्चित हुई है।
सिउड़ी रेलवे स्टेशन पर पुनर्विकास कार्य का अधिकांश आंतरिक सुधार पूरे हो चुके हैं। प्रतीक्षालय, टिकट काउंटर और सभा क्षेत्रों को बेहतर बैठने की व्यवस्था, बेहतर रोशनी और अधिक आरामदायक वातावरण के साथ उन्नत किया गया है। नए लगाए गए कोच इंडिकेशन बोर्ड और ट्रेन सूचना डिस्प्ले बोर्ड ने वास्तविक समय की सूचना उपलब्धता को मजबूत किया है। अलग-अलग मौसम की स्थिति में बेहतर आश्रय प्रदान करने के लिए दो नए प्लेटफ़ॉर्म शेड भी बनाए गए हैं।
नवनिर्मित पार्किंग क्षेत्र का निर्माण पूरा हो चुका है और अब यह जनता के लिए खुला है, जिससे भीड़-भाड़ कम करने और यात्रियों के लिए अंतिम-मील कनेक्टिविटी में सुधार करने में मदद मिलेगी।
पुनर्विकास के अधिकांश कार्य लगभग पूरे होने के साथ सिउड़ी स्टेशन एक बेहतर यात्रा अनुभव प्रदान करने और क्षेत्र के सबसे यात्री-अनुकूल स्टेशनों में से एक बनने के लिए तैयार है। यह परियोजना अमृत भारत स्टेशन योजना के तहत आधुनिकीकरण और बेहतर यात्री सुविधाओं के प्रति आसनसोल मंडल की दृढ़ प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाती है।

*MAJOR UPGRADES AT SIURI STATION NEARING COMPLETION UNDER AMRIT BHARAT STATION SCHEME — PASSENGER-FRIENDLY FACILITIES TAKING SHAPE*
Asansol, 14 November 2025:
The redevelopment of Siuri Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme has reached an advanced stage, with most planned works already completed and the remaining activities progressing swiftly. Today, on 14.11.2025, a team of officers led by DRM/Asansol Smt. Vinita Srivastava inspected the progress of the ongoing works. The project is being executed by Asansol Division with the vision to transform Siuri Station into a modern, comfortable, and passenger-centric facility in line with the Ministry of Railways’ objectives.
A substantial portion of infrastructure works has already been completed. Traffic flow has been streamlined, the circulating area has undergone aesthetic enhancement, and the station façade and elevation have been upgraded. Modern illumination systems, including a high-mast tower light, are now functional, improving visibility and safety. A newly constructed entrance gate has added to both the appeal and accessibility of the station.
Passenger convenience has been prioritised throughout the upgrade activities. A new lift between Platforms 2 and 3 has been installed and made fully operational, greatly benefiting senior citizens, Divyangjan, and passengers carrying luggage. Three Divyang-friendly drinking water booths have also been commissioned, ensuring inclusive access to essential amenities.
Most interior improvements are complete. Waiting halls, ticket counters, and concourse areas have been upgraded with improved seating, brighter lighting, and a more comfortable environment. Newly installed coach indication boards and train information display boards have strengthened real-time information availability. Two new platform sheds have also been erected to offer better shelter during varying weather conditions.
The newly developed parking area has been completed and is now open to the public, helping reduce congestion and improving last-mile connectivity for commuters.
With the majority of redevelopment works nearing completion, Siuri Station is set to offer a significantly enhanced travel experience and emerge as one of the most passenger-friendly stations in the region. The project highlights Asansol Division’s strong commitment to modernisation and improved passenger amenities under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
