आसनसोल मंडल की रेलवे सुरक्षा बल (आरपीएफ) ने आज विद्यासागर रेलवे स्टेशन पर एक मोबाइल चोर को पकड़कर ऑपरेशन यात्री सुरक्षा के तहत यात्री संरक्षा के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता दिखाई।
लगभग 06.20 बजे ट्रेन संख्या 13319 एक्सप्रेस प्लेटफॉर्म संख्या 01 पर पहुंची, तभी पीछे के जनरल कोच में यात्रियों ने “चोर-चोर” चिल्लाकर शोर मचाया। तदुपरांत जामताड़ा पोस्ट के ड्यूटी पर तैनात रेलवे सुरक्षा बल (आरपीएफ) कर्मी तुरंत कार्रवाई करते हुए मौके पर यथाशीघ्र पहुंचे, रेलवे सुरक्षा बल (आरपीएफ) कर्मी ने एक व्यक्ति को रेलवे ट्रैक के किनारे भागते हुए देखा और उसे सफलतापूर्वक पकड़ लिया।
ऑपरेशन यात्री सुरक्षा के तहत जांच के दौरान उस व्यक्ति के पास से एक रियलमी (Realme) मोबाइल फोन बरामद हुआ, जिसके चोरी होने का संदेह था। रेलवे सुरक्षा बल (आरपीएफ) कर्मियों की त्वरित कार्रवाई से आरोपी भाग नहीं पाया और मोबाइल भी बरामद हो गया।
जामताड़ा के सहायक सब-इंस्पेक्टर (ASI) ने उक्त मामले का विस्तृत जांच किया, जिसके दौरान आरोपी ने ट्रेन नंबर 13319 एक्सप्रेस में यात्रा कर रही एक महिला यात्री से मोबाइल चुराने की बात कबूल की। कोच में वह महिला यात्री जिसका मोबाइल चोरी किया गया था, को ढूंढने की शुरुआती कोशिशें नाकाम रहीं। इसके बाद बरामद फोन पर कॉल करने पर पुष्टि हुई कि बरामद किया गया मोबाइल उसी महिला का है और उसे जीआरपी मधुपुर से इसे लेने की सलाह दी गई।
बरामद किया गया मोबाइल का उचित दस्तावेज़ीकरण करने के बाद जीआरपी मधुपुर को सौंप दिया गया और आरोपी को लिखित शिकायत के साथ हिरासत में ले लिया गया।

*ASANSOL DIVISION, EASTERN RAILWAYRPF FOILS MOBILE THEFT ATTEMPT; NABS ACCUSED UNDER OPERATION YATRI SURAKSHA*

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Asansol Division demonstrated its commitment to passenger safety under Operation Yatri Suraksha by apprehending a mobile phone thief at Vidyasagar Railway Station today.
At around 06.20 hrs, Train No. 13319 Express arrived at Platform No. 1, when passengers in the rear general coach raised an alarm shouting “chor–chor”. Responding promptly, on-duty RPF personnel of Jamtara Post rushed to the spot, noticed a person fleeing along the railway track, and successfully detained him.
During inspection, a Realme mobile phone suspected to be stolen was recovered from the individual. The quick action of the RPF personnel prevented the accused from escaping and ensured recovery of the mobile.
ASI of RPF Jamtara conducted a detailed enquiry, during which the accused admitted to stealing the mobile from a lady passenger travelling on Train No. 13319 Express. Initial attempts to locate the passenger in the coach were unsuccessful. Subsequently, a call on the recovered phone confirmed that the device belonged to her, and she was advised to collect it from GRP Madhupur.
The mobile was handed over to GRP Madhupur under proper documentation, and the accused was taken into custody along with a written complaint.
The swift and coordinated action of RPF Jamtara reflects the vigilance and dedication of Asansol Division in ensuring passenger security. Eastern Railway, Asansol Division, reiterates its commitment to safe and secure travel and commends the RPF staff for their prompt and effective response.
