पूर्व रेलवे के आसनसोल मंडल के मंडल रेल प्रबंधक (डीआरएम) श्री चेतना नंद सिंह ने आज सीतारामपुर स्टेशन पर स्वीकृत बाईपास लाइन परियोजना का विस्तृत निरीक्षण किया। यह बाईपास परियोजना, पश्चिम बंगाल के पश्चिम बर्दवान जिले में आसनसोल मंडल के एक महत्वपूर्ण जंक्शन सीतारामपुर में अक्सर होने वाले ट्रेन परिचालन में विलंब और परिचालन संबंधी बाधाओं को दूर करने के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण परियोजना है। यह परियोजना 5.325 किलोमीटर लंबी बाईपास लाइन क्रॉस-मूवमेंट समस्याओं को कम करने और ट्रेन संचालन को सुव्यवस्थित करने के लिए तैयार की गई है, जिससे यात्री और माल ढुलाई दोनों सेवाओं को लाभ होगा।
वर्तमान में, ग्रैंड कॉर्ड लाइन पर डाउन ट्रेनों और मेन लाइन पर अप ट्रेनों के इंटरसेक्शन के कारण सीतारामपुर में ट्रेनों का विलंब होना आम बात है। इससे सीतारामपुर सिगनल पर ट्रेनों को बार-बार रोकना पड़ता है, जिससे राजधानी और शताब्दी एक्सप्रेस सहित कई लंबी दूरी की और एक्सप्रेस सेवाओं के शेड्यूल पर असर पड़ता है। नई बाईपास लाइन, जो पूर्वी आउटर केबिन के पास से शुरू होकर झाझा की तरफ लिंक केबिन पर समाप्त होगी, अप मेन लाइन के माध्यम से निर्बाध आवाजाही की अनुमति देगी, क्रॉस-मूवमेंट संघर्षों को खत्म करने के लिए एक फ्लाईओवर का उपयोग करेगी। इस डिजाइन का उद्देश्य पूर्व रेलवे नेटवर्क के लिए परिचालन दक्षता को बढ़ाना और ट्रेन की समयबद्धता में सुधार करना है।
बाईपास संरेखण को प्रस्तावित डेडिकेटेड फ्रेट कॉरिडोर कॉरपोरेशन (DFCC) लाइन के साथ ओवरलैपिंग से बचने के लिए संशोधित किया गया है, ताकि न्यूनतम हस्तक्षेप और परिचालन सुसंगतता सुनिश्चित हो सके। इसके अतिरिक्त, बाईपास अल्दिही-राधानगर सेक्शन से एक अलग बाईपास लाइन के साथ सहजता से जुड़ेगा, जो दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे के ऊपर और नीचे दोनों यातायात को समायोजित करेगा। यह संरेखण सीतारामपुर में ट्रेन हैंडलिंग को और अधिक अनुकूलित करता है और विलंब समय को कम करता है।
आसनसोल-झाझा सेक्शन में चल रही 03533 बर्द्धमान-झाझा मेमू स्पेशल ट्रेन का औचक निरीक्षण किया गया। उनकी गहन समीक्षा में टिकट जांच और शौचालय की सफाई का आकलन शामिल था, जिससे यह सुनिश्चित हो सके कि यात्री सेवा के सभी पहलू उच्च मानकों को पूरा कर रहे हैं। मंडल रेल प्रबंधक/आसनसोल ने यात्रियों से भी बातचीत की और उनकी प्रतिक्रिया और सुझावों को ध्यानपूर्वक सुना।

*DRM ASANSOL INSPECTS PROGRESS OF SANCTIONED BYPASS LINE PROJECT AT SITARAMPUR STATION*
Asansol, October 30, 2024:
Shri Chetna Nand Singh, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Asansol Division, Eastern Railway, conducted a detailed inspection of the sanctioned bypass line project at Sitarampur station today. This bypass project is crucial for addressing frequent train delays and operational bottlenecks at Sitarampur, a significant junction of Asansol Division in the Paschim Burdwan district of West Bengal. The 5.325 km bypass line is set to alleviate cross-movement issues and streamline train operations, benefiting both passenger and freight services.
Presently, train delays at Sitarampur are common due to the intersection of down trains on the Grand Chord line and up trains on the main line. This necessitates frequent holding of trains at Sitarampur signals, impacting schedules for several long-distance and express services, including the Rajdhani and Shatabdi Expresses. The new bypass line, beginning near the East Outer Cabin and ending at the Link Cabin on the Jhajha side, will allow uninterrupted through movement via the UP main line, using a flyover to eliminate cross-movement conflicts. This design aims to enhance operational efficiency and improve train punctuality for the Eastern Railway network.
The bypass alignment has been modified to avoid overlapping with the proposed Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation (DFCC) line, ensuring minimal interference and operational coherence. Additionally, the bypass will connect seamlessly with a separate bypass line from the Aldihi-Radhanagar section, accommodating both up and down South Eastern Railway traffic. This alignment further optimizes train handling at Sitarampur and reduces detention time.
A surprise inspection was conducted onboard the running 03533 Barddhaman-Jhajha MEMU Special train in the Asansol-Jhajha section. His thorough review included ticket checking and an assessment of toilet cleanliness, ensuring that all passenger service aspects are meeting high standards. DRM/Asansol also engaged with passengers, attentively listening to their feedback and suggestions.
