महाकुंभ 2025 के दौरान श्रद्धालुओं की भारी भीड़ के बीच भारतीय रेलवे तीर्थयात्रियों के लिए निर्बाध परिवहन सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अथक प्रयास कर रहा है। केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री श्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने हाल ही में एक मीडिया रिपोर्ट को संबोधित किया और पुष्टि की कि प्रयागराज क्षेत्र के आठ अलग-अलग स्टेशनों से लगभग 330 ट्रेनों ने 12.5 लाख यात्रियों को सफलतापूर्वक उनके घरों तक पहुँचाया है। पवित्र स्नान के बाद श्रद्धालुओं के लिए प्रतीक्षा समय को कम करने के लिए हर चार मिनट में ट्रेनों का परिचालन किया जा रहा हैं।
माघ पूर्णिमा के आगामी अमृत स्नान की तैयारी में प्रत्येक ट्रेन रेक में प्रति ट्रिप औसतन 3,780 यात्री यात्रा करते हैं, जो निरंतर भीड़ को दर्शाता है। प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में पूर्व रेलवे/आसनसोल मंडल के अपर मंडल रेल प्रबंधक, श्री प्रवीण कुमार प्रेम ने जनता की कुशलतापूर्वक सेवा करने में भारतीय रेलवे के प्रयासों पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने मीडिया को आश्वस्त किया कि प्रयागराज जंक्शन, प्रयागराज छिवकी, नैनी, सूबेदारगंज, प्रयाग, फाफामऊ, प्रयागराज रामबाग और झूसी सहित सात अन्य स्टेशन पूरी तरह चालू हैं। स्पेशल और नियमित ट्रेनें पूरी क्षमता से चल रही हैं, जबकि अमृत स्नान के दिनों में प्रयागराज संगम स्टेशन को अस्थायी रूप से बंद करना जिला प्रशासन के सुझावों के आधार पर एक नियमित प्रक्रिया है।
श्री प्रेम ने खासकर उस क्षेत्र में ट्रॉफिक जाम की सूचना के बीच भारतीय रेलवे के व्यापक प्रयासों को स्वीकार करने के महत्व पर जोर दिया। आज दोपहर 3 बजे तक आठ स्टेशनों से 201 से अधिक स्पेशल और नियमित ट्रेनें रवाना हुईं, जिनमें नौ लाख से अधिक तीर्थयात्री थे।
अपर मंडल रेल प्रबंधक/आसनसोल ने मीडिया और जनता से सटीक जानकारी के लिए आधिकारिक रेलवे स्रोतों पर भरोसा करने और भ्रामक रिपोर्टों से बचने का भी आग्रह किया। पिछले महीने मौनी अमावस्या के दौरान 360 ट्रेनों के बराबर एक सामान्य दिन में 330 ट्रेनों का संचालन, राष्ट्र की सेवा के लिए भारतीय रेलवे की प्रतिबद्धता का प्रमाण है।

*UNPRECEDENTED RAILWAY EFFORTS DURING MAHAKUMBH 2025*

Amidst the heavy rush of devotees during the ongoing Mahakumbh 2025, Indian Railways is tirelessly working to ensure seamless transportation for pilgrims. Union Minister of Railways, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, addressed a recent media report and confirmed that around 330 trains have successfully transported 12.5 lakh passengers from eight different stations in the Prayagraj area back to their homes. Trains are being dispatched every four minutes to minimize waiting time for devotees after their holy baths.
In preparation for the upcoming Amrut Snan of Maghi Poornima, each train rake accommodates an average of 3,780 passengers per trip, showcasing the unwavering rush. In a press conference, Shri Pravin Kumar Prem, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Eastern Railway/Asansol Division, highlighted the efforts of Indian Railways in serving the masses efficiently. He assured the media that Prayagraj Junction, along with seven other stations—Prayagraj Chheoki, Naini, Subedarganj, Prayag, Phaphamau, Prayagraj Rambagh, and Jhusi—remain fully operational. Special and regular trains are running at full capacity, while the temporary closure of Prayagraj Sangam station around Amrit Snan days is a routine practice based on the district administration’s suggestions.
Shri Prem emphasized the importance of acknowledging Indian Railways’ massive efforts, especially amidst reported traffic snarls in the area. By 3 PM today, over 201 special and regular trains had departed from the eight stations, carrying more than nine lakh pilgrims.
ADRM/Asansol also urged the media and public to trust official railway sources for accurate information and avoid falling prey to misleading reports. The operation of 330 trains on a normal day, comparable to the 360 trains during Mauni Amavasya last month, stands as a testament to Indian Railways’ commitment to serving the nation.
