*IIT Kharagpur Launches Director’s Platinum Jubilee Excellence Fellowship for JAM 2026 Toppers*
The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has announced the launch of the *Director’s Platinum Jubilee Excellence Fellowship (DPEF)* to recognise and support top-ranked candidates of the Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) 2026.
The fellowship offers a monthly stipend of ₹5,000 for two years along with a ₹60,000 summer internship grant, enabling both financial assistance and early research exposure. It is aimed at encouraging academic excellence and attracting outstanding students to pursue M.Sc. programs at IIT Kharagpur.
The Institute’s M.Sc. programs provide rigorous training in core disciplines including physics, chemistry, mathematics, geology, and biosciences, supported by advanced laboratory facilities and research-oriented curricula. These programs also serve as a strong foundation for doctoral studies, with pathways for meritorious students to transition into Ph.D. programs within the IIT system.
Through this initiative, IIT Kharagpur seeks to strengthen the pipeline of future researchers and innovators in science and technology.
