At the India–Spain Conference on Higher Education held in New Delhi, leading Indian HEIs engaged with the distinguished delegation from CRUE – Conferencia de Rectores de las Universidades Españolas (Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities) during their visit to the India AI Impact Summit 2026.
We are proud to share that Suman Chakraborty, Director, IIT Kharagpur, was invited to participate and moderate a high-level session on Research, Innovation and Startup Ecosystems in Higher Education, with a special focus on financing startups and enabling translational research.
The Spanish CRUE delegation also visited exhibition stands and attended plenary keynote sessions at the Summit, fostering dialogue on AI-driven transformation, research collaboration, and innovation-led growth. The conference brought together leading Indian institutions and Spanish universities, reinforcing a shared commitment to advancing global partnerships, strengthening research ecosystems, and nurturing entrepreneurship within higher education.
