आसनसोल, 28 सितंबर 2025:
दुर्गा पूजा से पहले, जब रेल सेवाओं पर सुरक्षा और समय की पाबंदी की ज़िम्मेदारी बढ़ जाती है, पूर्व रेलवे के आसनसोल मंडल ने पूरी तरह से महिला कर्मचारियों के नेतृत्व में चार दिवसीय निरीक्षण अभियान शुरू किया है। 28 सितंबर से 01 अक्टूबर, 2025 तक मंडल भर की महिला अधिकारी और कर्मचारी प्रमुख परिचालनिक स्थानों – स्टेशनों, यार्डों, क्रू लॉबी और लेवल क्रॉसिंग – के निरीक्षण का कार्यभार संभालेंगी ताकि वर्ष के सबसे व्यस्ततम यात्रा काल में निर्बाध सेवा उपलब्ध कराया जाना सुनिश्चित किया जा सके।
परिचालन, यांत्रिक, विद्युत, इंजीनियरिंग, चिकित्सा, लेखा, आरपीएफ और कार्मिक विभागों से निरीक्षण दल बनाए गए हैं। प्रत्येक समूह का नेतृत्व एक वरिष्ठ महिला अधिकारी कर रही हैं, जो सुरक्षा, दक्षता और यात्री सुविधाओं पर सीधी निगरानी और बेहतर नज़र रखती हैं।
यह पहल 28 सितंबर को आसनसोल स्थित इलेक्ट्रिक लोको शेड की विस्तृत जाँच के साथ शुरू हुई, जिसमें रखरखाव मानकों, सुरक्षा प्रक्रियाओं और लोको की तैयारी पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया गया। एक अन्य महिला टीम ने आसनसोल-पानागढ़ सेक्शन पर ट्रेन संख्या 63516 (आसनसोल-बर्धमान मेमू लोकल) के फुटप्लेट निरीक्षण का कार्य किया ताकि चालक दल की सतर्कता, समय की पाबंदी और सुरक्षा मानदंडों के अनुपालन की समीक्षा की जा सके।

29.09.2025 – दुर्गापुर स्टेशन और कैरेज एवं वैगन (सी एंड डब्ल्यू) डिपो, अंडाल
30.09.2025 – मधुपुर क्रू लॉबी और सीतारामपुर यार्ड
01.10.2025 – जसीडीह स्थित समपार फाटक
इस अभियान का लक्ष्य परिचालन अनुशासन, रखरखाव गुणवत्ता, यात्री सुविधाओं, स्वच्छता, सुरक्षा और कर्मचारी कल्याण पर केंद्रित है। त्यौहारों के मौसम के दौरान महत्त्वपूर्ण जांच के केंद्र में महिला पेशेवरों को रखकर, आसनसोल मंडल प्रमुख रेलवे परिचालनिक सेवाओं में उनके अधिकार को रेखांकित करता है और जवाबदेही, तैयारी व सेवा उत्कृष्टता की संस्कृति का संकेत देता है।

*Asansol Division Puts Women at the Helm of Operational Inspections Ahead of Durga Puja*
Asansol, 28 September 2025:
In the run-up to Durga Puja, when rail services bear heightened responsibility for safety and punctuality, Asansol Division of Eastern Railway has embarked on a four-day inspection drive entirely led by its women workforce. From 28 September to 1 October 2025, women officers and employees from across the Division are taking charge of inspecting key operational points — stations, yards, crew lobbies, and level crossings — to ensure seamless service delivery during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
Inspection teams have been drawn from Operating, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, Medical, Accounts, RPF, and Personnel departments. Each group is spearheaded by a senior woman officer to provide direct oversight and a sharper lens on safety, efficiency, and passenger amenities.
The initiative began on 28 September with a detailed check of the Electric Loco Shed, Asansol, focusing on maintenance standards, safety practices, and loco readiness. Another all-women team undertook a footplate inspection on Train No. 63516 (Asansol–Barddhaman MEMU local) over the Asansol–Panagarh section to review crew alertness, punctuality, and compliance with safety norms.
Inspections will continue as follows:
29.09.2025 – Durgapur Station and C&W Depot, Andal
30.09.2025 – Madhupur Crew Lobby and Sitarampur Yard
01.10.2025 – Level Crossing Gate at Jasidih
The drive targets operational discipline, maintenance quality, passenger amenities, cleanliness, safety, and staff welfare. By placing women professionals at the centre of critical checks during the festival season, Asansol Division underscores their authority in core railway operations and signals a culture of accountability, preparedness, and service excellence.
