पूर्व रेलवे के आसनसोल मंडल ने पैसेंजर ट्रेनों की परिचालन दक्षता और संरक्षा बढ़ाने के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाते हुए यात्री रनिंग लूप लाइनों का बड़े पैमाने पर उन्नयन किया है। मंडल भर में कुल 40 स्टेशन लूप लाइनों से सुसज्जित हैं, जो मुख्य लाइन के परिचालन को बाधित किए बिना ट्रेनों की सुचारू आवाजाही, ओवरटेकिंग और ठहराव की सुविधा के लिए महत्त्वपूर्ण हैं।
पैसेंजर लूप लाइनें मुख्य लाइनों के समानांतर बिछाई गई अतिरिक्त पटरियाँ होती हैं, जो आमतौर पर प्लेटफ़ॉर्म से जुड़ी होती हैं ताकि ट्रेनों को रोका जा सके, क्रॉस किया जा सके या ओवरटेक किया जा सके। ये लाइनें खासकर व्यस्त जंक्शनों और टर्मिनल स्टेशनों पर पैसेंजर ट्रेन यातायात को प्रभावी ढंग से प्रबंधित करने के लिए महत्त्वपूर्ण हैं। इन लूप लाइनों की संरक्षा और कार्यक्षमता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए इंजीनियरिंग और परिचालन कर्मचारियों द्वारा नियमित और गहन निरीक्षण किया जाता है।
इस महत्वपूर्ण बुनियादी ढांचे का समर्थन करने के लिए वित्तीय वर्ष 2025-26 में आसनसोल मंडल पर पैसेंजर रनिंग लूप लाइनों के उन्नयन के लिए कुल 260 करोड़ रुपये निर्धारित किए गए हैं। रखरखाव प्रबंधन में वार्षिक 224 किमी लूप लाइन की सर्विसिंग शामिल है, जिसमें 56 किमी लूप लाइन का वर्ष में चार बार निरीक्षण किया जाता है। यह ट्रैक के सीधी-रेखा में न होने (मिसअलाइन्मेंट), ढीली फिटिंग या गिट्टी की कमियों जैसे दोषों का समय पर पता लगाने और सुधार सुनिश्चित करता है।
ये प्रबंधित निरीक्षण उन्नयन और संरक्षा प्रोटोकॉल यात्री सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने, समय की पाबंदी बढ़ाने और बुनियादी ढांचे की विश्वसनीयता में सुधार करने के भारतीय रेलवे के व्यापक दृष्टिकोण के अनुरूप हैं। ये पहल न केवल कुशल ट्रेन परिचालन पर इसके फोकस को उजागर करती हैं बल्कि यात्रियों के लिए सुरक्षित और सुचारू रेल यात्रा प्रदान करने के लिए इसके समर्पण को भी रेखांकित करती हैं।

*ASANSOL DIVISION TAKES MAJOR STEPS TO UPGRADE PASSENGER LOOP LINES WITH FOCUS ON SAFETY AND EFFICIENCY*
Asansol, April 23, 2025:
In a significant move to enhance operational efficiency and safety of passenger trains, Asansol Division of Eastern Railway has undertaken a massive upgradation of passenger running loop lines. A total of 40 stations across the division are equipped with loop lines, which are crucial for facilitating the smooth movement, overtaking, and halting of trains without disrupting the mainline operations.
Passenger loop lines are additional tracks laid parallel to the main lines, usually connected to platforms, to allow stoppage, crossing, or overtaking of trains. These lines are vital for managing passenger train traffic effectively, especially at busy junctions and terminal stations. To ensure the safety and functionality of these loop lines, regular and thorough inspections are carried out by engineering and operational staff.
To support this vital infrastructure, a total amount of Rs. 260 crore has been earmarked for the upgradation of passenger running loop lines over Asansol Division in financial year 2025-26. The maintenance regime includes 224 km of loop line servicing annually, with 56 km of loop line inspected four times a year. This ensures timely detection and correction of defects like track misalignment, loose fittings, or ballast deficiencies.
