पूर्व रेलवे के आसनसोल मंडल ने रेलवे कर्मचारियों, यात्रियों और स्थानीय लोगों में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए 01.08.2025 से स्वच्छता-विषयक गतिविधियों की एक श्रृंखला आयोजित की।
रेलवे कर्मचारियों उनके परिवारों और यात्रियों की उत्साहपूर्ण भागीदारी के साथ पूरे मंडल में स्वच्छता शपथ समारोह आयोजित किए गए। पानागढ़, अंडाल, आसनसोल, सीतारामपुर, बराकर, चित्तरंजन, जामताड़ा और मधुपुर सहित प्रमुख स्टेशनों के साथ-साथ मंडल रेलवे अस्पताल और आसनसोल के मुख्य स्वास्थ्य निरीक्षक कार्यालय में भी शपथ दिलाई गई।
“स्वच्छ रेल, स्वच्छ भारत” का नारा कॉलोनियों और स्टेशन क्षेत्रों में गूंज रहा था, जिससे सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर स्वच्छता के महत्त्व पर ज़ोर दिया गया। इन अभियानों ने कर्मचारियों और जनता दोनों को स्वच्छ परिवेश बनाए रखने में उनकी भूमिका के प्रति जागरूक किया।
स्वच्छता अभियान 2025 के तहत लोको कॉलोनी आसनसोल और अन्य रेलवे आवासीय एवं परिचालन क्षेत्रों में गहन सफाई अभियान चलाए गए। सभी कॉलोनियों में घर-घर कचरा संग्रहण सुनिश्चित किया गया और आसनसोल रेलवे कॉलोनी में वेक्टर जनित रोग नियंत्रण उपाय शुरू किए गए।
रेलवे अधिकारियों ने बेहतर स्वच्छता प्रक्रियाओं और सेवा मानकों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए अग्रिम पंक्ति के कर्मचारियों, विशेष रूप से यात्रियों से सीधे संपर्क करने वाले कर्मचारियों के लिए कार्यशालाएँ और प्रशिक्षण सत्र भी आयोजित किए।
जनता की भागीदारी के एक रचनात्मक दृष्टिकोण के तहत प्रमुख स्टेशनों और सार्वजनिक संपर्क बिंदुओं पर स्वच्छता पर आधारित सेल्फी बूथ स्थापित किए गए, जिससे यात्रियों से सकारात्मक प्रतिक्रिया मिली।
पूरे मंडल में जागरूकता गतिविधियों में व्यापक भागीदारी देखी गई, जिससे सार्वजनिक स्वच्छता के प्रति सामूहिक जिम्मेदारी को सुदृढ़ करने में मदद मिली। इस अभियान ने यात्रियों, कर्मचारियों और स्थानीय निवासियों को एक स्वच्छ, हरित रेलवे वातावरण में योगदान देने के लिए प्रभावी रूप से प्रोत्साहित किया।

*EXTENSIVE SWACHHATA AWARENESS CAMPAIGN CONDUCTED OVER ASANSOL DIVISION*

Asansol Division of Eastern Railway organised a series of Swachhata-themed activities from 01.08.2025 to raise awareness among railway staff, passengers and the local community.
Swachhata Pledge ceremonies were conducted across the division with enthusiastic participation from railway employees, their families and passengers. The pledge was administered at major stations including Panagarh, Andal, Asansol, Sitarampur, Barakar, Chittaranjan, Jamtara and Madhupur as well as at the Divisional Railway Hospital and CHI Office Asansol.
The slogan “Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat” echoed through colonies and station areas, reinforcing the importance of cleanliness in public spaces. These campaigns sensitised both staff and the public to their role in maintaining hygienic surroundings.
As part of the Swachhata Abhiyan 2025, intensive cleanliness drives were undertaken in Loco Colony Asansol and other railway residential and operational areas. Door-to-door garbage collection implementation was ensured for all colonies, and vector-borne disease control measures were initiated in the Asansol Railway Colony.
Railway officials also conducted workshops and training sessions for frontline staff, especially those interacting directly with passengers, to promote better sanitation practices and service standards.
In a creative approach to public engagement, selfie booths themed around cleanliness were set up at major stations and public touchpoints, drawing positive responses from travellers.
Awareness activities across the division witnessed widespread participation, helping to reinforce the collective responsibility towards public hygiene. The campaign effectively encouraged passengers, employees and local residents to contribute to a cleaner, greener railway environment.
