The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Asansol Division, Eastern Railway continues to reaffirm its commitment to passenger safety, security, and prompt assistance through active use of technology-enabled passenger grievance redressal systems such as Rail Madad.
Today, on 06.12.2025, an online complaint was received through Rail Madad (Ref. No. 2025120602225) regarding a sweet bag accidentally left behind by a passenger in Coach A-1 of Train No. 13020 (Bagh Express). The complaint was forwarded to RPF Post Jamtara, and the on-duty staff promptly attended the arriving train at Platform No. 2 at around 07:35 hrs.
During the inspection, the train escorting team handed over a sweet packet matching the details of the complaint. Subsequently, Md. Shabhaz Ansari, aged 22 years, resident of Giridih, Jharkhand, visited RPF Post Jamtara and claimed the retrieved bag. He informed that he had travelled from Siwan to Madhupur on berth number 40 (Coach A-1) of Train No. 13020 with PNR No. 2446477791 and had inadvertently left the sweet bag while deboarding at Madhupur. Upon contacting Railway Helpline 139, he learnt that the bag had been safely secured by RPF Jamtara.
After due verification, the sweet bag valued at Rs. 1480/- was safely handed over to the rightful owner under proper acknowledgement.
This incident once again highlights the unwavering dedication of the RPF, Asansol Division, to ensuring a secure travel experience for railway passengers. The timely coordination made possible through Rail Madad showcases Indian Railways’ commitment to leveraging technology for efficient passenger assistance.
