पूर्व रेलवे का आसनसोल मंडल देश भर में चल रहे “स्वच्छता ही सेवा 2024” अभियान में सक्रिय रूप से भाग ले रहा है, स्टेशनों और रेलवे परिसरों में विभिन्न स्वच्छता और जागरूकता पहलों का आयोजन कर रहा है। ये प्रयास रेलवे कर्मचारियों, यात्रियों और स्थानीय समुदायों की सक्रिय भागीदारी के साथ स्वच्छता, सफाई और पर्यावरणीय स्थिरता को बढ़ावा देने पर केंद्रित हैं।
इस अभियान में कार्यालयों और स्वास्थ्य इकाइयों में व्यापक सफाई अभियान शामिल हैं, जिसमें आसनसोल में लेखा विभाग पर एक केंद्रित अभियान भी शामिल था। सफाई कर्मचारियों की सुरक्षा और स्वच्छता के मामले में उनकी महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए बराकर और पानागढ़ स्वास्थ्य इकाइयों में विशेष सफाई मित्र सुरक्षा शिविर आयोजित किए गए।
विद्यासागर, मधुपुर जंक्शन, उखड़ा, दुमका, घोड़पारन और काँसीटाड़ जैसे स्टेशनों पर रेलवे कर्मचारियों और यात्रियों ने “स्वच्छता संवाद” में हिस्सा लिया और सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर स्वच्छता बनाए रखने के तरीकों पर चर्चा की। उखड़ा में, लायंस क्लब के सदस्यों ने रेलवे कर्मचारियों और यात्रियों के साथ स्वच्छता की शपथ ली, जिसके बाद जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। दुमका में, खानपान विक्रेताओं ने शपथ ली और स्वच्छता के लिए एकता के प्रतीक के रूप में मानव श्रृंखला बनाई गई।
कुलटी, आसनसोल और दुर्गापुर स्टेशनों पर जन-जागरूकता अभियान चलाए गए, जहाँ यात्रियों को स्वच्छता के महत्त्व के बारे में शिक्षित किया गया। आसनसोल स्टेशन पर प्लेटफ़ॉर्म, प्रतीक्षालय, बुकिंग कार्यालय और पार्सल सेक्शन में जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए गए, जिसमें कर्मचारियों और कुलियों की सक्रिय भागीदारी रही।
आसनसोल में रेलवे कॉलोनी जैसे आवासीय क्षेत्रों में, घर-घर जाकर कचरा संग्रहण और मच्छर-रोधी जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए गए, जिसमें अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन और बीमारी की रोकथाम के महत्त्व पर प्रकाश डाला गया।
इन पहलों के माध्यम से आसनसोल मंडल में स्वच्छता ही सेवा 2024 अभियान ने बेहरत स्वच्छ और स्वस्थ रेलवे वातावरण बनाए रखने के लिए कर्मचारियों, यात्रियों और समुदायों के बीच सामूहिक जिम्मेदारी को सफलतापूर्वक बढ़ावा दिया है।

*SWACHHATA HI SEVA 2024 CAMPAIGN ACTIVELY OBSERVED IN ASANSOL DIVISION OF EASTERN RAILWAY*
Asansol, September 20, 2024:
The Asansol Division of Eastern Railway has been actively participating in the nationwide “Swachhata Hi Seva 2024” campaign, organizing various cleanliness and awareness initiatives across stations and railway premises. These efforts focus on promoting hygiene, cleanliness, and environmental sustainability, with active involvement from railway staff, passengers, and local communities.
The campaign featured extensive cleaning drives at offices and health units, including a focused operation at the Accounts Department in Asansol. Special Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivirs were conducted at Barakar and Panagarh Health Units to raise awareness about the safety of sanitation workers and their vital role in cleanliness.
Stations such as Vidyasagar, Madhupur Junction, Ukhra, Dumka, Ghorparan, and Kaseetar saw railway staff and passengers engaging in “Swachhata Samvad” (cleanliness dialogues), discussing ways to maintain hygiene in public spaces. At Ukhra, members of the Lions Club joined railway staff and passengers in taking the Swachhata Pledge, followed by an awareness program. At Dumka, catering vendors took the pledge, and a human chain was formed as a symbol of unity for cleanliness.
Public awareness campaigns were carried out at Kulti, Asansol, and Durgapur Stations, where passengers were educated on the significance of cleanliness. At Asansol Station, awareness programs were conducted across platforms, waiting halls, booking offices, and the parcel section, with active participation from staff and porters.
In residential areas like the Railway Colony in Asansol, door-to-door garbage collection and anti-mosquito awareness programs were organized, highlighting the importance of waste management and disease prevention.
Through these initiatives, the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 campaign in Asansol Division has successfully fostered a collective responsibility among staff, passengers, and communities to maintain a cleaner and healthier railway environment.
