The Inter-District Sports Competition for Special Needs Students was organized by the Medinipur Rehabilitation Center for Children (1981), the oldest organization for special needs students in Akhand Medinipur district, at the Medinipur Sri Aurobindo Stadium. The event began with the hoisting of the national flag, lighting of lamps, watering of saplings and torch rally. In this competition, 20 events were held for participants with special needs including intellectual and hearing impairments, 2 for guardians and 2 for teachers, and 2 for students of MRCC College. A total of 29 events were held in 7 subjects. More than 200 participants participated in this competition.

First, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth

Consolation prizes were given to the third place winners as well as the participants. In each event, consolation prizes are given to the first, second, and third place winners as well as to the participants.

The event was inaugurated by Asian Junior Powerlifting gold medalist champions Shanti Das and Sanjeev Das.

Present were District Red Cross Secretary Dr. Golok Bihari Maji, Treasurer Lawyer Debashish Das, eminent journalists Tapas Maiti, Manik Mondal, Debnath Maiti and Buddhadev Das, singer Sameer Mohanti, Dr. Swadesh Ranjan Pan, District Bar Association Secretary Lawyer Anup Mishra, Lawyer Arindam Das. MRCC President Chittaranjan Mukherjee, Secretary Nandadulal Bhattacharya, Treasurer Anadi Jana, two associate secretaries Amit Kumar Sahu and Prashant Mohapatra, vice president Soumen Ghosh, member of the Steering Committee Bidyut Basu, Executive President of the District Chess Association Dr. Biswajit Poriya, National Teacher Mrinmoy Das, Dr. Babulal Shasmal, Joint Convener Gautam De and Shivprasad Mishra, etc. The sports were conducted by the District Sports
