*IIT Kharagpur to Host National Teachers Convention on NEP 2020: Shaping the Future of Higher Education*
The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, through its Centre of Excellence for Indian Knowledge Systems, is organizing a prestigious Teachers Convention on “National Education Policy and Its Impact on Higher Education”, bringing together eminent academicians, policymakers, and thought leaders to deliberate on the transformative vision of NEP 2020.
The convention will be graced by Shri R.N. Ravi, Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Education, Government of India, will attend as the Guest of Honour.
The event is being held under the patronage of Prof. Suman Chakraborty, Director, IIT Kharagpur, with Prof. K. L. Panigrahi, Dean (Administration) as Co-Patron, and convened by Prof. Arijit De.
The convention aims to provide a high-level platform for dialogue on the implementation, opportunities, and future roadmap of the National Education Policy, particularly its implications for higher education institutions, interdisciplinary learning, and integration of Indian Knowledge Systems.
