An Important Appeal to All Clubs and Organisers
Following the Milad-un-Nabi celebrations, many clubs, organisations and local communities beautifully decorated their respective areas with flags, banners, lights and other decorative items. These decorations added to the spirit and beauty of the occasion. However, now that the celebrations have concluded, we sincerely appeal to all concerned clubs and organisers to kindly remove these decorations as soon as possible and keep the surroundings clean and safe.
Due to strong winds, rain and changing weather conditions, flags, banners and other materials can become loose and fall onto roads, footpaths and public spaces. People may unknowingly walk over them, vehicles may pass over them, and in some cases, these items may even fall into drains and create blockages. Apart from creating inconvenience and safety concerns, allowing religious flags or banners to remain on the ground can also be seen as disrespectful to the religious sentiments and values they represent.
This is not just about one particular religion or community—it is about respecting every faith, every religious symbol and maintaining the dignity of our celebrations. We therefore request all clubs and organisers to take responsibility and ensure that all decorations are removed respectfully and disposed of properly.
We also appeal to all residents and social media users to share and forward this message as much as possible, so that it reaches every concerned person. Let us come together to keep our city clean, safe and respectful, and show that true respect for our festivals continues even after the celebrations are over.
