Kolkata, September 9, 2023: Shri Amar Prakash Dwivedi, General Manager, Eastern Railway inspected Kanchrapara Workshop of Eastern Railway today (09.09.2023). He inspected different shops, inaugurated various workshop related activity units, inaugurated HRMS Help Desk-cum-Grievance Centre at the Workshop as a part of Human Resource Development initiatives of Eastern Railway. Shri Gautam Dutta , Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer / Eastern Railway , Shri Veer Bhadra Vishwakarma , Principal Chief Electrical Engineer / Eastern Railway & Shri Subhash Chandra, Chief Workshop Manager, Kanchrapara and other principal officers of Eastern Railway Headquarters and senior officers of Kanchrapara Workshop were present during GM’s inspection.
General Manager inspected the Loco Testing Shed, flagged off a refurbished electric loco. Afterwards Shri Amar Prakash Dwivedi, General Manager, Eastern Railway, thoroughly inspected Electric Loco POH Shop, Traction Motor Shop, Loco Wheel Shop, Conventional Body Repairing Shop and other shop floors. During inspection , the General Manager also inaugurated the High voltage Test Bench in Shop no 11, Brake Cylinder Test Bench at Shop No. 9A & Paint Booth at Shop No. 19.
At the outset, there was a Power Point presentation containing the highlights and performance review of the workshop. Shri Dwivedi, General Manager said that Workshop must continue its endeavor for quality jobs with main focus on quality of periodic overhauling and reduction of carbon footprint.

Shri Dwivedi, General Manager visited the art gallery and heritage museum at the Workshop.
Later, General Manager also visited Kanchrapara Railway Hospital Complex and opened a RO Plant and Renovated ICU Unit at the hospital.
Shri Dwivedi, General Manager while inspecting the workshop counselled staff at different levels for further betterment of their aptitude and performance.
