पूर्व रेलवे का आसनसोल मंडल कई स्टेशनों पर यात्री-अनुकूल कदम उठाते हुए नई यात्री सुविधाओं की एक श्रृंखला शुरू करने जा रहा है, जिसका उद्देश्य यात्रा में आराम और सुविधा को बढ़ाना है।
अधिक आरामदायक और सुखद यात्रा अनुभव सुनिश्चित करने के लिए जसीडीह (JSME), दुर्गापुर (DGR), आसनसोल (ASN) और देवघर (DGHR) सहित प्रमुख स्टेशनों पर विश्राम कुर्सी सेवाओं की योजना बनाई जा रही है। ये सेवाएँ यात्रियों के लिए आरामदायक बैठने का विकल्प प्रदान करेंगी, खासकर लंबे समय के प्रतीक्षा के दौरान। मंडल निकट भविष्य में इस सुविधा को अन्य स्टेशनों तक विस्तारित करने का भी इरादा रखता है।
यात्री-केंद्रित एक अन्य पहल में, आसनसोल, जसीडीह और दुर्गापुर स्टेशनों पर जल्द ही सैलून सेवाएँ उपलब्ध होंगी। इस सुविधा से यात्रियों को चलते-फिरते बढ़ती सेवाओं का लाभ उठाने में मदद मिलेगी, जिससे रेलवे स्टेशन सिर्फ़ एक ट्रान्जिट प्वाइंट से कहीं ज़्यादा बन जाएगा।
इसके अलावा, यात्रियों की डिजिटल ज़रूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए दुमका, दुर्गापुर और आसनसोल स्टेशनों पर मोबाइल और एक्सेसरीज़ बूथ स्थापित किए जा रहे हैं, जिससे मोबाइल से जुड़े ज़रूरी उत्पादों और सेवाओं तक आसान पहुँच सुनिश्चित होगी।
यात्रियों और आगंतुकों के लिए बैंकिंग को आसान बनाने के लिए पाँच नए एटीएम भी लगाए जा रहे हैं जिसमें मधुपुर, बैद्यनाथधाम, रानीगंज और दुर्गापुर स्टेशन परिसर में एक-एक और आसनसोल स्टेशन के उत्तरी हिस्से में एक एटीएम लगाए गए हैं। ये एटीएम लोगों को स्टेशन पर आते-जाते या वहाँ से गुज़रते समय आसानी से नकद निकासी में मदद करेंगे।
इन नई सुविधाओं के साथ पूर्व रेलवे का आसनसोल मंडल स्टेशन परिसर को सभी के लिए अधिक आरामदायक, उपयोगी और यात्री-अनुकूल बनाने के लिए कदम उठा रहा है।

Asansol, April 10, 2025:
In a passenger-friendly move aimed at enhancing travel comfort and convenience, Asansol Division of Eastern Railway is set to introduce a range of new passenger amenities across several stations.
To ensure a more relaxed and pleasant journey experience, relaxation chair services are being planned at key stations including Jasidih (JSME), Durgapur (DGR), Asansol (ASN), and Deoghar (DGHR). These services will offer a comfortable seating option for passengers, especially during long waiting hours. The division also intends to expand this facility to additional stations in the near future.
In another passenger-centric initiative, salon services will soon be available at Asansol, Jasidih, and Durgapur stations. This facility will allow travelers to avail grooming services while on the move, making railway stations more than just a transit point.
Further, to cater to the digital needs of passengers, mobile and accessories kiosks are being set up at Dumka, Durgapur, and Asansol stations, providing easy access to essential mobile-related products and services.
To make banking easier for passengers and visitors, five new ATMs are also going to be installed—one each at the Madhupur, Baidyanathdham, Raniganj and Durgapur Station premises and another on the north side of Asansol station. These ATMs will help people withdraw cash easily while visiting or traveling through the station.
With these new facilities, Asansol Division of Eastern Railway is taking steps to make station premises more comfortable, useful, and passenger-friendly for everyone.
