*Successful Conclusion of the Nine-Day ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign at Hindi University*

*Kolkata / Howrah (18 August 2026):* The nine-day ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign organized by Hindi University, Howrah, West Bengal concluded under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Nandini Sahu.

In her presidential address, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor highlighted the importance of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and said that the Tricolor is a symbol of the pride, unity and self-reliance of our India.

This program was organized for 9 days on the university premises under the direction of the University’s Finance Officer Siddhartha Ghatak Chaudhuri and O.S.D. Debabrata Bhanja.

On the first day, the inauguration was done by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, collective recitation of the Preamble of the Constitution, launch of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and distribution of the National Flag to students, teachers and employees was done. On the second day, an essay competition and quiz competition was organized. On the third day, a cultural program based on patriotic songs, dance and drama was presented. Participants also uploaded selfies with the Tricolor on the official campaign portal. On the fourth day, a slogan and poster making competition based on patriotism and recitation of patriotic poems was organized. On the fifth day, a Tiranga awareness rally was taken out in the university campus and surrounding areas. Along with this, a seminar was also organized on the history, importance and Indian Flag Code of the National Flag.
On the sixth day, a cleanliness drive was conducted across the entire campus under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. In the evening, the university building was decorated with tricolor lights. On the seventh day, that is, on Independence Day (15 August), the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor hoisted the flag along with the singing of the National Anthem and National Song. On this day, prizes were distributed to all the winners of various competitions. On the last and ninth day, a grand closing ceremony of the campaign was organized on the university premises. Students, teachers and employees participated with great enthusiasm in this 9-day campaign.
