Trainee teachers Assist with Social and Emotional Development.
A shortage of teachers has long been a persistent issue in government schools. This scarcity of government teachers gives rise to numerous problems within schools—such as a decline in the quality of education, a lack of adequate individual attention for students, and an increased workload for the teaching staff. Ultimately, this adversely affects students’ learning outcomes and, by extension, impacts the overall development of the nation. Over the past several years, the arrival of trainee teachers from the Durgapur Institute of Management and Science and Parbati Teachers’ Training College at Rotibati Hindi High School has, for a few months each year, facilitated the holistic development of both the students and the school itself. These trainee teachers not only provided comprehensive academic support to the students—successfully organizing various co-curricular activities and cultural programs—but also set a commendable example by presenting gifts to the school’s Mid-Day Meal assistants, thereby acknowledging their significant contributions and pivotal role in the school’s progress.

On this occasion, the School Management Secretary, Mr. Gautam Mukherjee, and committee member, Mr. Pramod Nonia, lauded the trainee teachers for their invaluable contributions to the institution. The School Headmaster, Mr. Kartik Maji, along with the entire teaching fraternity of the school, presented certificates of appreciation and mementos to all the trainee teachers. This delightful program was conducted seamlessly by Headmaster Kartik Maji and Vikas Ram. Present at the event were Awadhesh Bhagat, Ramshish Singh, Muneer Shamee, Samiran Kundu, Ranu Chatterjee, Seema Kundu, Chandan Singh, and Satish Pandit, along with trainee teachers Aditi Gupta, Naushad Anwar, Deepmala Verma, Javeriya Fatma, Khushboo Kumari, Vikas Ram, Ehtesham Ali, Pinky Saw, Preeti Saw, Priya Kumari Saw, Priya Singh, Aditi Yadav, Tarab Zaki, Roshni Kumari, and Rinki Gope.
