Excellent Performance by Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyapith at the Borough Level Youth Parliament Competition
Kolkata, 17th September 2026 : The students of Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyapith (Boys) High School put up an excellent performance and bagged three prizes in the Borough Level competition organized by the Department of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of West Bengal.
Several competitions were organized at the Borough Level (Borough – IX) at Mitra Institution (Branch), such as the Youth Parliament Competition, Quiz Competition, Extempore Speech Competition and Essay Writing Competition.
Md. Khatib (Class-9) of Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyapith (Boys) High School secured the second position in Essay Writing, Ritik Patel (Class-10) secured the third position in Extempore Speech, and Zafar Imam (Class-10) and Md. Arshlan (Class-10) secured the second position in the Quiz Competition. The performance of the students of Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyapith (Boys) High School in the Youth Parliament was also highly commendable.
The school teachers, Niteshwar Choudhary, Shashwati Mukherjee and Vinod Yadav, made a significant contribution in preparing the students for these competitions.
At the end of the event, all participants were felicitated with participation certificates. Headmistress Madhurima Chandra conveyed her best wishes to all the students and teachers. Sub-Inspector of Schools, Circle-10, Payel Bhattacharya was present as the chief guest at the event.
