आसनसोल, 03 जुलाई, 2026:
पूर्व रेलवे के आसनसोल मंडल ने मॉनसून की सालाना तैयारियों के तहत मंडल की कई जगहों पर मशीनों से नालियों की सफाई और गाद निकालने (डीसिल्टिंग) का विशेष अभियान शुरू किया है।
यह काम पर्यावरण और हाउसकीपिंग प्रबंधन (ईएनएचएम) विभाग द्वारा किया जा रहा है ताकि मॉनसून के मौसम में रेलवे कॉलोनियों और कार्य क्षेत्रों में पानी की निकासी ठीक से हो सके, जल-जमाव को रोका जा सके और आसपास का माहौल साफ-सुथरा और स्वच्छ रखा जा सके।
इस अभियान के तहत, आसनसोल और अंडाल में मुख्य नालियों और जल निकासी चैनलों की अच्छी तरह से सफाई और गाद निकालने का काम किया जा रहा है, ताकि बारिश का पानी आसानी से बह सके और भारी बारिश के दौरान जल निकासी व्यवस्था ठीक से काम कर सके।
मॉनसून से पहले मंडल में जल निकासी की तैयारियों को बेहतर बनाने के लिए दुर्गापुर स्टील एक्सचेंज यार्ड, रानीगंज, काजोरग्राम, चिनपाई, दुबराजपुर, दुर्गापुर, जसीडीह और मधुपुर जैसी प्रमुख रेलवे जगहों पर भी इसी तरह सफाई का काम किया जा रहा है।
इस ऑपरेशन में नालियों से जमा गाद, ठोस कचरा और अन्य रुकावटों को हटाया जा रहा है। ईएनएचएम विभाग के अधिकारी और कर्मचारी काम को व्यवस्थित और समय पर पूरा करने के लिए बारीकी से निगरानी कर रहे हैं।
इस विशेष अभियान के माध्यम से पूर्व रेलवे का आसनसोल मंडल मॉनसून की अपनी तैयारियों को और मजबूत कर रहा है, रेलवे परिसर को साफ-सुथरा रख रहा है और बारिश के मौसम में सुरक्षित, सुचारू और यात्रियों के लिए अधिक सुविधाजनक रेलवे सेवाएं सुनिश्चित कर रहा है।

*ASANSOL DIVISION OF EASTERN RAILWAY UNDERTAKES SPECIAL PRE-MONSOON DRAIN CLEANING DRIVE*
*MECHANISED DESILTING WORK INTENSIFIED ACROSS MULTIPLE RAILWAY LOCATIONS TO ENSURE SMOOTH DRAINAGE AND PASSENGER CONVENIENCE DURING MONSOON*
**Asansol, 03 July 2026:**
Asansol Division of Eastern Railway has undertaken a special pre-monsoon mechanised drain cleaning and desilting drive at multiple locations across the Division as part of its annual monsoon preparedness measures.
The work is being carried out by the Environmental and Housekeeping Management (EnHM) Department to ensure efficient drainage, prevent waterlogging, and maintain clean and hygienic surroundings in railway colonies and operational areas during the monsoon season.
As part of this drive, major drains and principal drainage channels in Asansol and Andal have been taken up for comprehensive desilting and cleaning to facilitate the smooth flow of rainwater and ensure the effective functioning of the drainage system during periods of heavy rainfall.
Similar cleaning work is also being undertaken at key railway locations, including Durgapur Steel Exchange Yard, Raniganj, Kajoragram, Chinpai, Dubrajpur, Durgapur, Jasidih, and Madhupur, to enhance drainage preparedness across the Division ahead of the monsoon.
The operation involves the removal of accumulated silt, solid waste, and other obstructions from drains. Officials and staff of the EnHM Department are closely supervising the work to ensure its systematic and timely completion.
Through this special drive, **Asansol Division of Eastern Railway** is further strengthening its monsoon preparedness, maintaining cleaner railway premises, and ensuring safer, smoother, and more passenger-friendly railway services during the rainy season.
