BJP Kharagpur Sadar Mandal organised a Plant Distribution and Plantation Drive at New Traffic, Ward No. 22, with the aim of spreading awareness about greenery and encouraging people to contribute towards a cleaner and greener environment. As part of the initiative, the team visited around 20 households and distributed plants among local residents, while plantation activities were also carried out at different locations in the area. The programme witnessed the participation of Mandal Secretary Gopal Krishna, Vice President Asit Sarkar, K. Shiva, Booth President D. Anand and Booth President Maheon Prasad. Through this initiative, the organisers encouraged residents to plant and care for trees and highlighted the importance of protecting the environment through collective community participation. The programme was also covered by local media, highlighting the initiative and its message of environmental awareness.
